Review of Herbatint Permanent Herbal Haircolour Gel, Light Golden Chestnut 5 D, 4.56-Ounces (Pack of 2)

I love this stuff! This is the best hair dye I have ever used!I naturally have dark brown hair but I had bleach highlights in my hair when I used this.My hair did not turn any funny colors which is usually what happens when you try to dye bleached hair dark again. It looks very natural.I am so happy with Herbatint!Plus there is less chemicals then regular boxed hair dye!Another thing I liked is that you can save the leftover dye because the stuff comes in two containers that you mix equal parts with. So, if you are just doing your roots you could get quite a few applications out of one box.I also liked that there was no strong smell like there is with a lot of other dyes. The only drawback is that you need somthing to mix the product in and also a brush or somthing to apply it.

Pro's
Less Hydrogen Peroxide
Can be saved for later uses
Much more gentle on your hair
No Harsh Smells (It hardley smells at all)
Less Chemicals
No Parabens
No Ammonia

Con's
Provide your own mixing bowl
Provide your own brush or tool to apply they dye
That there are still some chemicals

All things considered I really love this dye!!!

Review of Herbatint Permanent Herbal Haircolour Gel, 1N, Black, 4.56-Ounces (Pack of 2)

This was the best price available online for two packs of the Herbatint. My hair is very thick and coarse, and the length is about 1-2 inches past shoulder-length - 1-1/2 bottles was more than enough to completely cover all my hair. The kit comes with flimsy gloves, color, developer, instructions (complete with full color chart), and conditioner; you will need to buy an applicator bottle or bowl to store the mixed color. The color (1N) took hold almost immediately but I left it on for the recommended 40 minutes. The color barely stained my skin around my hairline and scalp and what was stained came off very easily. There was no scalp irritation or awful chemical smell.

After 40 minutes and a shampoo & cool water rinse until the water ran clear, I noticed my hair wasn't as soft as it usually is after any kind of color treatment.I applied both packets of conditioner (one from each of the packages of color), let it sit for 5 minutes, and followed with a cool water rinse. That remedied the texture issue as my hair air-dried to a soft and shiny finish. The color is as described (1N) - natural jet black with no blue undertone. It didn't look flat like some black haircolors can and the shine only helps to enhance the richness and depth.

I've only washed my hair twice since coloring it and I found some color in my rinse water but I expect as much with the initial washes. It is pricier than the usual drugstore brands but you are paying for quality natural ingredients with minimal chemicals.Your hair shows the difference!

Review of Herbatint Permanent Herbal Haircolour Gel, Dark Blonde 6 N, 4.56-Ounces (Pack of 2)

After experimenting with different brands of hair color, I wanted to find hair color that is not harsh and that has fewer toxic chemicals. After reading many good reviews about Herbatint, I decided to try it and I'm glad I did. This product is great - It's much less toxic than other brands and it doesn't strip my hair of its natural oils. I colored a month ago and the color still looks great. I read on Herbatint's site that they recommend using the "N" colors (Apparently, they are better at covering grays)
