We've been using this specific shampoo for over two years.Granted, we all have short hair styles so perhaps it doesn't work as well on longer hair, but we have had no problems with the product.The shampoo cleans well, rinses out nicely, and smells very clean and fresh.I've ordered it directly from "Heaven's Gate" but with the shipping, it's expensive.Amazon has it at a much more reasonable price.

The first thing I did after receiving this was pop open the cap and give it a whiff. It's...atypical, and I was even frustrated that I was stuck with a whole 3 pack of it at first. I think I read a review of it somewhere that likened the smell to "cold tea." I wouldn't disagree. HOWEVER, within the first day I used this stuff, I had my roommate, among others, tell me how great my hair smelled. And the quality of it in terms of actual conditioning is right on par with other Nature's Gate conditioner, which is to say, MOST EXCELLENT. My hair is pretty curly so it's always thirsty... SO. I've decided I love this stuff. Whether you'll like the smell is anyone's guess, (it's definitely grown on me,) but considereing my hair lovvvves it, I'm a convert. (And this is a much better price than even what big box stores are selling it at.)

This conditioner has done what I thought could not be done. I have very fine hair and it simply does not lift at the roots like your average head of hair does. This conditioner smells wonderful, it's invigorating and leaves my hair full and fluffy without looking dry or dull. Kudos to Nature's Gate Organics for this product.

My hair type is 3c/4a/4b which is tightly coiled, very curly, and kinky hair. I only use shampoo once a week and was looking for a shampoo that would clean my scalp and not dry my hair out. I chose Nature's Gate because I love their conditioner, it is the only moisturizing conditioner I use. The ingredients in this shampoo were really good, almost all natural, no cones, no sulfates, and no parabens. While the shampoo cleaned my scalp, it dried my hair out.
I only used a little, maybe two cap fulls, and massaged my scalp for almost a minute. This shampoo lathers beautifully, smells amazing, and does its job. So while I enjoyed having a squeaky clean scalp, my hair actually squeaked when I rubbed it together, my hair became matted and tangled. I wound up spending the next hour trying to detangle my hair from all of the knots and matting in my hair. It was also extremely dry. This was one of the worst shampoo experiences I've had. I would not recommend this for curly haired guys/girls.
I gave this shampoo 3 stars because it cleaned my scalp and has awesome ingredients. It smells AMAZING too!

Review of Nature's Gate Shampoo Tea Tree Calming

I use this product at least once a week-it has been years since I have had any dandruff problems. It has a fresh, clean scent, suitable for male or female. It also rinses out quite easily-I go camping from March through October, and in some of the primative sites, I know it will rinse out with the solar shower.
This product is something I would reccomend for anyone looking for a "dandruff" shampoo that works, and does not smell of chemicals. Usually I use it with the Nature's Gate Herbal Conditioner-another wonderful product.

My favorite hair conditioner arrived at a post office, not my home address.Read the shipping details carefully.I live in a rural area which has NO home delivery, and use a PO box in a neighboring town for USPS deliveries.The gallon plastic container arrived at the other post office in a box with zero packaging material.The box was obviously dropped and the plastic container split on a seam.The post office bagged the leaking mess and sent it over to the neighboring town's (my) post office where I was informed that it awaited.The conditioner had leaked out into the box and bag and onto both post offices' holding bins, and likely left its slippery signature in other post office sorting sites along the way.

Amazon was quick to refund my purchase price, I sent my apologies to both post offices, and I'm now waiting for the Nature's Gate shampoo, shipped a few days later.And wondering if the same thing will happen!The refund department didn't seem to be at all interested in what had happened and how it could have been avoided if shipped plastic gallon containers were packaged with SOME material that would keep them from bursting.

I really love Nature's Gate Herbal Hair Shampoo (as pictured above) but this seller (PrettyLikeMe) sent me the NG Herbal Daily Cleansing Shampoo instead. Very similar item, but NOT the same. Slightly different ingredients list. They should repost under the proper item description and this review is simply to alert buyers of the difference in case it matters to them. The Daily Cleansing Shampoo is $20.43 (this is $30.99) and even after shipping it is still $4 cheaper than this for the exact same thing that they ship to you.

As far as the product quality, I have used NG Herbal Hair Shampoo for over 10 years and cannot find anything else even remotely as nice ... I love it!!!

I've used the herbal line for many years, but was tempted to try this because of the rose geranium scent. The scent is lovely and true to it's origin, however what prompted me to write this review was the way the conditioner performed. If you use the Nature's Gate Aloe Vera, you simply must get this conditioner! It's so nice to smell, and works well into the hair. I just love how my hair feels when I'm done!
